kurk edwards – community ministry
Kurk Edwards founded Joy Jem CDC to carry on the legacy his father, Reverend Eddie Edwards, started under the community organization, Joy of Jesus. Kurk also is a licensed ordained minister who loves to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Reverend Kurk Edwards has been preaching and teaching the Word of God for over 15 years at churches, community organizations and prisons. He has a passion for community ministry; focusing on feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and creating job opportunities.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Reverend Edwards partners with community venture programs that offer technical assistance to community-based organizations and community development corporations undertaking affordable housing, economic development and spiritual growth.

Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) 155 apartments for the homeless
Chalaph Veteran Homes Phase I (housing for homeless veterans)
Chalaph Veteran Homes Phase II (develop and build 25 townhomes)
Camp Creation is camping facility in Kingston, MI (currently under renovation)
45 unit veteran housing, Detroit, MI (currently under development)
